International Artexpo is the highlight of the winter season and draws thousands of New York visitors to view the collections. The 25th anniversary Silver Jubilee event will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Conventions Center in New York City from February 27 - March 3 2003. Ali Bozorgmehr utilizes an original art form he calls lyrical painting. His canvas is a synthesis of calligraphy, poetry, and painting. Bozorgmehr begins each work by selecting a passage of poetry from ancient Persian literature. He incorporates flowing, modern forms and illuminates the written words with bold, natural images. Deer, birds, and swans are featured depictions that both compliment and uncover the mystery of the poetry. The curves and movement of the animalšs form, synchronizes with the calligraphy written in or around the image to create harmony and balance. Bozorgmehr speaks through the language barriers with images and techniques that convey the universal expression of love. Bozorgmehr says, "the world sings of love: the trees, when the wind stirs their leaves: the earth, when rain soothes its thirst, and the soul, when illuminated with passion and understanding. My work balances and reflects upon these natural elements. It is my hope to reveal these unaffected, genuine gifts that are too often overlooked in our chaotic, self-indulgent world." "We are so pleased to have the work of Ali Bozorgmehr with us this year", says John Vasko, Director of Marketing. "This is our 25th anniversary Silver Jubilee event and certainly an important milestone. People from all over the world will be in attendance to view the wonderful works from the thousands of artists who are helping us celebrate our anniversary. Among our numerous attendees will be galleries, dealers, interior designers and the general consuming public looking for great pieces to collect and decorate their homes." The 2003 Annual International Artexpo promises to be the show of a lifetime, bringing together more than 2,400 artists featuring a wide range of traditional and contemporary paintings, posters, photography, sculpture, print, frames, decorative art and more.
